Superman - P.O. Box 65

P.O. Box 65

Proving it didn't always need to be slam-bang action, Neal Adams offers us a more relaxed, almost quizzical Superman for the cover to this 45", which also appeared on one the 1975 Superman LPs.

In fact, it reminds me a bit of those Superman covers from the late 1940s, when Superman didn't have any more Nazis to fight, so DC had him doing lots of gofy stuff, like juggling elephants or watching a barber break his scissors giving him a haircut.

How does Superman keep his hair from getting long? Red radiation scissors?

Of course not. As all die-hard Silver Age (or Pre-Crisis, if you prefer) Superman fans know, Superman's hair and nails don't grow under Earth's yellow sun.
