Never heard this before, so all I can use for comparison are voice and foley work of a more recent vintage. Love that audio, esp. Ursus' hammy line readings. Ursus reminds me of Dr. Orpheus on 'The Venture Brothers.' Histrionic, and not afraid to draw out his syllables.
The sound effects are a little silly. That 'crackling fire' sounds like paper being crinkled. And those horses galloping across sand sound like coconuts on a table. Y'know, if after the planet blew up, someone started pitching 'Be-Bop-A-Rebop Rhubarb Pie,' I would be completely convinced that I'd been listening to 'Prairie Home Companion.'
