Star Trek: Passage to Moauv Original Art

Neal Adams' beautiful original art to Star Trek: Passage to Moauv. It's interesting, because if you look closely, Kirk and Spock don't really look like Shatner and Nimoy, yet somehow look even more perfect the way Adams renders them.

I don't know...I think the Shatner likeness is pretty good. The Shat has a notoriously hard face to capture. I think it's because he looks quite different from different angles.

Adams does seem to take shortcuts with Nimoy: "Gaunt, it!".

"Passage to Moauv" is the genesis of all things Star Trek for me. Star Trek wasn't on any of the three channels we got when I was a kid, so the first exposure I ever had to Star Trek was this book & record set. Its as much Star Trek to me as any episode of the series. Remarkable to see the original art work!
