Star Trek - 4 Exciting Action-Adventure Stories

Tracks:

The Star Trek Story Records site continues to provide this blog with heretofore unknown Power Record discoveries, in this case yet another Trek repackaging meant to tie in to the 1979 movie.

And it's not just the sleeve that's new--the first audio adventure presented here, "The Man Who Trained Meteors", was another story I had never heard before! According to the STSR site, "Meteors" only appeared on this and one other LP, never getting a 45" or a book and record set. Click the link and enjoy!

When I was in 5th grade, I drew my own comic book adaptation of "The Man Who Trained Meteors", on notebook paper. It was just as good as you're imagining. :)

I had this one, bought it brand new at KMart. Sadly, I never listened to more than about 3 or 4 minutes of it. I just assumed that Shatner and Nimoy would be on this and when it wasn't their voices I lost complete interest. I was even disappointed in the sound effects. Nothing like the movie OR the TV Show. Over 30 years later it is time for me to listen to this again for the first time and truly pay attention to the story. Not every Power Record actor can sound like Lee Majors! (And until I discovered this blog I thought it WAS Lee on the 6MDM Records!).
