Captain America - ...And A Pheonix Shall Arise!
Produced
by Herb Davidson and Charlotte Saunders. Written by Tony Isabella, art
by Sal Buscema, John Tartaglione, and George Roussos.
Typical of these Marvel Power Records, it's a very downbeat story of revenge, loneliness, and regret. Enjoy the 70s, kids!
THIS was the first comic book I ever owned (moms bought it at Ayr-Way, the same store my folks later bought those poster puzzles) and became obsessed with Captain America ALMOST as much as you became obsessed with Aquaman. Okay, maybe more. I can't think of too many eight year old who would make their own Captain America costume, complete with wooden shield and Reb Brown helmet.
ReplyDeleteI am 38 years old and still have these book and records from when I was a child. 10 years ago I transferred them to mini disc. Great to see someone else loves these great stories like me. I hope this blog stays up forever.
